“From Surviving to Thriving”:Honouring your Path”.

Hey there, it’s been a while… I missed you. I haven’t shared a blog in three months, and yes, I’m quite disappointed, but a lot has been going on. As I sit here reflecting on life and everything I’ve been through, I realize I rarely take a moment to pause and recognize how far I’ve come. Just being here is a blessing.

You might wonder, What does it mean to have come far? Is it about academic achievements? Getting a job? Winning a prize? Well, that definition is entirely up to you. But today, I want to encourage you to recognize that simply being alive is a tremendous blessing. Think of all the people who woke up today, hoping to be here, but aren’t.

Being the age you are is a precious gift from God. Waking up, breathing, and being alive—these are profound blessings. Yet, we often get so wrapped up in achievements and goals that we don’t give ourselves the grace to just be in the moment. We reach one goal and immediately chase the next, without slowing down to appreciate what we once longed for.

We’ve become disconnected from what truly matters in life. So much of what is right and simple has been overshadowed by a constant need for more. We barely normalize celebrating each other’s victories anymore; instead, we envy others’ blessings, missing out on the chance to honor our own.

So yes, today’s blog is for you. For you who feels stuck because it seems like everyone else is moving forward while you’re not. For you who doesn’t acknowledge the small wins just because no one else is watching. For you who only feels motivated when someone else is cheering, yet struggles to cheer for yourself. For you who feels intimidated around others, thinking they’re somehow better, and that your voice doesn’t matter.

Today, I want you to get back up. Start growing toward unlearning these toxic and uncomfortable feelings. Start welcoming and acknowledging your present self. Forgive your past self so your future self can enjoy the benefits of healing and gratitude.

Happiness is one word, but it doesn’t have just one definition, and we don’t all see it the same way. So, by sharing this, I want you to know that you have the power to redefine your story—by being present and celebrating every win, from the smallest to the biggest. And if you wake up one day feeling like there’s nothing to celebrate, just breathe in and out, blink, and smile. That, in itself, is a blessing.

Now, go ahead and enjoy life. Forgive and let go of whatever is holding you back from being your true self. Your light isn’t just for you—when you choose to rise, you inspire countless others who might be facing the same struggles and searching for a voice.

I love you.
Miss V.

Self belief

There is something so beautiful about returning to yourself. Hey everyone, I am incredibly excited to be back. Once again, I know it has been a year since I have truly been part of writing and expressing myself creatively, but today I sit here holding so much to say. I finally feel myself stepping back into my creative zone, and for that, I am deeply grateful. Today, I sit with a heart full of gratitude. A heart that has come to understand that sometimes our greatest blessing is simply existing. Sometimes the blessing is waking up, seeing another day, breathing again, and realizing that being here is a privilege. God saw us fit enough to be part of today, and that alone means we are trusted with so much more than we often realize. And today, I want to speak to the person who feels like they are not enough. The person who feels like they have not achieved enough. The person who struggles to see themselves becoming a better version of who they are. The person who feels stuck...

Comparison Is the Thief of Joy

A lot of us have heard the saying, “Comparison is the thief of joy.” But do we truly understand what it means? Today, I want to go a little deeper. I want to paint a picture of how comparison can slowly pull you away from becoming the person you were created to be. I want to show you how staying trapped in comparison can rob you of the beauty of your own journey the beauty of being different, the beauty of taking a route that no one else has taken, and the beauty of discovering a life that was uniquely designed for you. I know it can be difficult. It can be heavy trying to trust the process when it seems like everyone around you is moving faster, achieving more, or living the life you imagined for yourself. But today, I want to encourage both you and me: free yourself from the shackles of comparison. Free yourself from constantly looking to the side and wondering what life would be like if you were someone else. Free yourself from the cage of wishing your story looked like everyon...

Letting Go of What Could Have Been to Welcome What Is More Than You’ve Ever Known

In many days, we all curate a life that we want for ourselves. We paint a picture of how we see ourselves and how we envision ourselves. We build timelines in our minds, set expectations for our journeys, and silently assume that life will follow the script we’ve written. And I think one of our biggest fears is not just failure, but the possibility of a life that looks completely opposite of what we ever thought it would be. There’s something deeply unsettling about waking up and realizing that reality doesn’t match the vision we held so tightly. It can feel like rejection, like delay, like everything is slipping through our hands. But sometimes what we call rejection is actually redirection. And every closed door is not just an ending  it can also be an opening to a possibility we were never brave enough to imagine. I’m here, in this moment, next year, in a reflection of time, and I’m finally realizing that everything I’ve ever feared has somehow shown up in my life in o...
