Hey there,
I know it’s been a minute.I missed y’all dearly. I have been deeply introspective lately, and that’s a wonderful thing. Every time I feel like that, I eagerly jump into my laptop just to share these emotions with you guys.
Well, today we're discussing the profound act of forgiving our past experiences. The question is, why should I? How will this even benefit me? The answer is quite simple: it’s only fair for your present self to experience a healed and healthy version of you.The saddest truth is that it requires forgiving yourself for all that you could and couldn’t control. Ever heard the saying, “if it happened, it means God approved it and he’s aware.
I was listening to this inspiring podcast shared by a friend yesterday. They shared a comforting statement saying, “When you fall, I will catch you,” from God. I reflected on it .Think about the countless times you had to start over. The times you had to pick yourself up when not even words like “you will be fine” made sense. Think about the rejection, the closed doors. How many times did you actually stand up and face the next challenge with such resilience? That’s grace, and that’s why it’s so important for you to truly forgive yourself. If God can give you this grace to breathe, it means there’s still time. Yes, you are allowed to cry, but the best gift you can offer your disappointed self is grace to be kinder to yourself.
I’m not advocating for perfection. Establish a timetable. Challenge yourself when possible. No, no, but understand that even the smallest steps are significant. Building momentum doesn’t require a rapid start or a slow beginning; it means starting at a pace you can sustain and for which you can hold yourself accountable
With love
